Fitment of the ARB BASE Rack to the Toyota 70 Series when fitted with a chrome gutter runner has posed challenges on some vehicles due to minimal door rubber to Roof Rack clamps clearances.
To assist with clearance a supplementary kit has been sourced which essentially replaces the rubber clamp traditionally used when clamping to a vehicles gutter. Due to the shape of the roof rack clamp the following fitments are recommended on the 70 Series:
The gutter clamp when fitted with the 6980210 Supplementary kit provides a flat surface for the door rubber to close against and limits the pinch point to the door rubber.
